When do I need to RSVP?

Please RSVP by March 31. We are required to provide a complete guest list to the venue in advance of the event.

Can I bring a +1 or children?

All invited guests are named on your invitation. Due to capacity at the venue, we cannot accommodate additional guests.

Please note that this will be an adults-only event. We thank you for your understanding.

What is the dress code?

We encourage you to wear Indian formal attire (examples include lehengas, salwar kameez, saris, sherwanis, fancy kurtas)! Or if you prefer western attire, semi-formal attire (examples include cocktail dresses, suits, blazers, jumpsuits).

If I'm not Indian should I still wear Indian attire?

Yes! All guests are very much encouraged to participate in the wedding by wearing Indian clothes. Think of this as a fun opportunity to dress up and participate in a cultural occasion. You are also completely welcome to wear semi-formal western attire if you prefer.

What types of Indian clothes should I wear?

There are several different types of Indian outfits, and there are no specific requirements for what types of outfits should be worn to which events. Guests at Indian weddings are typically encouraged to wear bright colors and refrain from wearing all-white or red outfits, but we encourage you to choose whatever you may feel comfortable wearing.

Where should I get Indian clothes?

How should I get to the Gaylord?

The Gaylord is located in Oxon Hill, MD and  is a short drive from DCA airport, DC, and Arlington. Uber/Lyft/Taxi is probably the easiest form of transport. There is also overnight parking for a fee for guests staying at the hotel if you prefer to rent a car.

Is there parking at the Gaylord?

The Gaylord does offer parking for a fee, as do nearby parking garages in National Harbor.

Do I have to stay at the Gaylord?

No, you are welcome to stay wherever you most prefer. There are a number of hotels walkable to the Gaylord and dozens of options a short drive away (in Arlington, specifically Crystal City for ex)

How Should I get to HQO Events?

We strongly recommend uber/lyft or metro. Due to the game happening that night at the next door ballpark, traffic and nearby parking garages will be very busy. Please budget extra time due to the ballgame. Navy-Yard Ballpark green line stop is a 5 minute walk from the venue.

Is there parking at HQO Events?

There is no parking at this venue. Nearby parking garages are expected to be very busy and expensive due to the ballgame happening next door.

What will happen at the Sangeet?

Our Sangeet is a welcome party with food, drink, and performances. This will be a standing-reception style dinner event. There will also be a few performances with a few friends and family performing songs and dances!
